Project DIMEBAG: The Vision Starts in Rattle Snake Hollow

Owner: Marc Potter | Location: Rattle Snake Hollow, TN

The Canvas: Chevy S10 Extended Cab

The Project: “DIMEBAG”

Every legendary build happens twice.

It happens the first time when you drag the truck onto the trailer, straps flapping in the wind, knowing you just bought a massive headache and a massive opportunity.

But it happens the second time in your mind. That quiet moment late at night when you sit in the garage, stare at the rusted cab corners and mismatched panels, and you don’t see what is—you see what will be.

This is Stage 1 of Project DIMEBAG.

Get the Truck, Then Draw the Dream

Marc, out in the hills of Rattle Snake Hollow, Tennessee, is doing this the right way. Too many people tear a truck apart the second they get it home, leaving a pile of parts on the floor with no direction.

The discipline comes in stopping, looking, and planning.

Before the first bolt is turned, the identity of “Dimebag” is being forged on paper. As you can see in the concept art, the vision is aggressive. We’re talking about a throwback, street-truck style—wild graphics, sharp lines, and that low-slung stance that defines the S10 culture. The plan calls for aggressive tribal-style graphics mixed with racing checkers, a look that screams 90s pro-street attitude.

The “Stage 1” Reality

Right now, the truck is sitting on the trailer. It’s rough. It’s got stories to tell. But the rendering shows the future. This phase—the “Dreaming and Drawing” phase—is where the soul of the truck is born. It’s where you decide if this is a drag truck, a cruiser, or a show-stopper.

For Marc, the plan is locked in. The truck is secure in the Hollow. The paper is inked. Now, the real work begins to make that drawing bleed into reality.

Stay tuned as DIMEBAG transforms from a sketch in Tennessee to a pavement-pounding reality.
